First Things First

If you are interested in me making and designing your wedding cake, can I recommend that you contact me as soon as you know the date of your wedding and have booked your venue, to check on availability.

Please include as much information as possible, such as the date, venue, size of the wedding, this can be approximate if you haven’t got the final numbers, style, and theme of your wedding.

You can include any pictures you have seen that you like.

Save The Date

Securing the date is of utmost importance, as I can get booked up 12 to 18 months in advance, this can be done with a £75.00 retainer which includes your design consultation and Sample Tasting.

This fee is taken off your deposit when your Wedding Cake is booked making the consultation free.

Should you choose not to go ahead with an order for any reason the retainer is non-refundable, as it will cover any work I have done up to that point.

I am of course happy for you to ask as many questions as you like before committing and can offer advice, and a rough estimate.

Your Consultation

I have to say this is the bit I like best because this is where I get to meet you albeit over a zoom call.

I recommend you keep your cake box for that meeting, it adds to the experience.

The design process is where we bring all your ideas to the table, and I offer my expertise and experience to design a Wedding Cake that you can visualise and be excited about.  By the end of this meeting, you will also receive an accurate price including all the information you will need regards size, allergies & dietary requirements, delivery, and cake stands, etc…

I hold regular consultation days, which are being held via Zoom and boxes of samples are sent to be with you the day before.

What’s Next

I will send you a detailed Wedding Cake brief, containing everything we discussed in the consultation, including your formal quote.

Read it carefully, and if you would like to change anything now is the time to do it.

When you are happy with everything then I will send you an invoice for a 25% deposit less your save the date retainer.

You can now tick your Wedding Cake off your list.

I will contact you about 3 months before the wedding to check you are still happy with everything.

The final invoice will be sent to you 8 weeks before your wedding and the balance will be due 6 weeks before the wedding date.

Delivery & Set-up

I will deliver your Wedding Cake and set it up on the day of your wedding at a time to suit your venue coordinator.

I will leave a cake menu with the staff so whoever is cutting and serving the cake will know what flavours they are serving.

I will also leave an allergy sheet and list of ingredients for any member of the wedding party with food intolerances.

I will also leave a cake box in case there is any leftover cake.

Cake Stand Hire

I have a beautiful selection of Wedding Cake Stands for you to choose from.

I don’t charge for the hire of my cake stands, but they do need to be returned to me within 5 days of your wedding and you would be liable for any breakages, damages, or losses.
